TIPS-USA will be reducing its usual 2% fee to 1% for #Harveyaffected projects. More information on their site and below. Let us know if we can help you navigate the process.

Today TIPS is announcing a special fee reduction for any project performed for TIPS members in the major disaster declaration counties. TIPS will reduce its normal 2% admin fee to 1% if the vendor will pass the fee reduction on to the TIPS member. If you have a customer that would like to take advantage of the reduced fee, please use the following form. This offer is good through 12/31/2017. Texas schools can exercise the emergency procedures provision of the law that provides relief to the normal bidding requirements. The Texas Association of School Boards has issued an excellent FAQ concerning the emergency procedures process. As you can see, schools may contract with vendors for equipment, supplies and repairs without going through a normal bid process as outlined in Texas Education Code 44.031. However, many school boards will utilize cooperative contracts that are in place because of the “pre-competed” list of vetted vendors.

"After a couple of renovations that led to what seemed like more drainage problems, we are coming in and rototilling the field and surrounds and adding sand and sprigging the field area with Tiff 419 bermuda. We are excited to get LSUS up and running for the season."
